  1. Justin's brother and his family drive 3 hours once a month or so and stock up on the essentials that they can't get in their super small home town of Alpine TX. They also buy stuff online whenever then get free shipping coupons. I will have to ask her some of her other tricks. They have 3 kids, lots different than your 7, so a little easier to juggle on a trip to the store. I couldn't handle not having a target or walmart, I think I would go certifiably insane! Good luck!

  2. oh wow... that would be hard. right now since I'm on partial bedrest, I just decided I would buy what i could online. the hardest part is knowing sizes. But I bought some jeans on children's place and old navy for $11.60 each with the coupons and sales... with free shipping. And i even got a great deal on a lands end messenger bag that ended up being cheaper than the ones at old navy or gap. I love free shipping and online coupons from retailmenot.com.

    Good luck!

  3. Your kitchen is beautiful!

Sorry, I'm off topic. How far is it to a bigger town?

  4. I would miss Walmart and Target, too, but I used to LOVE Winco.

  6. who needs walmart when you have WINCO!! it is the best and cheapest place to buy groceries. I'll admit it is sad to be without a target though. I can't wait to see more pics of your new house!!

  7. Love Winco! Wish I had one. But I guess that doesn't help with kid's clothes, eh?

  8. I have a Walmart and Target and Childrens Place within 5 minutes of my home but I still choose to shop online. I love being able to very deliberate in my purchases and as I shop online, I can leave my purchases over night in my shopping bag and decide if they are really "wants" or "needs". I recommend signing up for emails to be sent to you. I receive them from Childrens Place, Gymboree, Gap, Old Navy, etc... then you can watch for deals like 30-40% off and free shipping (many times those deals are for online only). Once you determine your children's sizes, it's easy to shop online (using the weight and height charts have always worked well for us). I now I have a daughter entering 7th grade and that makes it harder to shop for her online. So, I'm finding I'm spending more time at stores and the mall shopping for her (and spending A LOT more money that way as well). Anyway, I highly recommend online clothes shopping for the little ones. Honestly, it's saved me a lot of time, money and heartache from having to drag my littles around while we shop.
