Did you all have a nice Thanksgiving holiday?
It was fun to have Todd's parents visiting and some friends joined us for Thanksgiving dinner. I enjoyed the quiet of just a few extras, but i think i'm craving the hustle and bustle of aunts and uncles and cousins... i missed that.

we had lots of helpers int he kitchen. |

and one, not so helpful. |
We went out on black Friday and got most of our Christmas shopping done. {Shopping for clothes for kids in that not a kid, not quite mens size is difficult!} We played lots of games together. My husband just loves games, and I love him. So, we play games when he is in vacation mode.

anna and drew gathered leaves for our table. |
It is always fun to visit with Todd's parents. They are easy and so very helpful. I'm glad my kids get the chance to know their grandparents, what a blessing!

todd and grandpa were the gravy experts. |

i covered my built-in "china" cabinet with pictures... cute or tacky? |
To be honest, I'm not feeling well. I threw up Thanksgiving dinner (it wasn't bad, because my toilets had been freshly cleaned), and I have a slight fever and runny nose. I know I should just tough it up, and i do tough it up, but sometimes i just wish i could curl up in bed with a book and have my mom bring me some chicken soup.

mmm. |
Our company left this morning and we have some more visitors coming in a week. I want to wave a magic want and transform my house from Thanksgiving to Christmas... We are going to spend Christmas in Idaho, so it is is tempting to not even decorate my house... but, you can't have December without Christmas can you? No. Not even if you have a case of the sniffles.
