glimpses.

do you believe that we lived before we were born?
i do.
i don't believe in reincarnation, but i do believe that we lived in Heaven before we were born here on Earth.
i believe that we were spirit children of God.
that we had different gifts and talents.
that our birth was but a forgetting... a veil.
we chose to come to Earth to get a body, to learn, to grow, and to be tested.
and that someday, we will live with God again and we will remember ALL.

sometimes i see glimpses of who i am.
who i always have been.
i see glimpses of my children-- of who they ARE and who they can become.
i believe that much of what i am learning here on Earth is not so much LEARNING-- it is REMEMBERING.
because i believe it was taught to me before i was born.
at the feet of a loving Father and Mother in Heaven.

as parents, i don't believe that we are teaching or making our children.
i believe we are learning who they are.
we are finding out the talents that they already have and helping them to use them.
if i have learned one thing, raising my large family, it is THIS--  EACH CHILD IS DIFFERENT.
they come that way.

i heard a cute quote about parenting from my school secretary.
i'm butchering this quote.
it goes something like...
"My first child did not color on walls, because i taught him not to, and i am a good mother.
My second child did not color on walls, because i taught him not to, and i am a good mother.
My third child colors on walls, because i have never raised an artist before, and i am a good mother."

anyway...
the professor LOVES to watch inspiring you tube clips.
he had me watch this clip... and i cried.
you might not believe that we lived before we were born--
but, i know it is true.
THIS BOY learned to sing in heavenly spheres.
I share it with you-- so you can see a GLIMPSE of who he was, and who he is, and who he can become.
and so you can remember-- we ALL have something inside of us.
something that makes us feel different from who we are today.
something that helps us remember who were were and who we REALLY are.
we are not human beings having a spiritual experience.
we are spiritual beings having a human experience.
Here is a glimpse of Heaven.
